Cute Symbols Copy and Paste
83 cute symbols to copy and paste: face parts for building kawaii faces, hearts and sparkles, animals, sweets and bows. Each one lists its official Unicode name and what kind of character it really is.
Definition: Cute symbols are small Unicode characters used to make text look soft and playful, such as ♡, ✧, ᵔᴗᵔ and 🐾. Some are real symbols or emoji, and many of the face parts are letters or digits from other scripts that people borrow for their shape.

What counts as a cute symbol
Unicode has no "cute" category. The groups above sort characters by how people use them: face parts to build a kawaii face, hearts and sparkles for decoration, animal faces, sweets and bows. Cute symbols are the small pieces, and a kaomoji is a finished face built from them, so if you want complete faces see the kaomoji page.
For a quieter, moodier look, the aesthetic symbols page has moons, flowers and darker characters. For styled letters to go with them, use the cute fonts generator.
Cute faces are built from borrowed characters
The eyes and cheeks in ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ are not symbols. ᵔ and ᵕ are modifier letters (small top half o and small bottom half o), added in Unicode 4.0 in 2003. ᴗ is a Latin small letter (bottom half o), and ᴥ is the Latin letter ain. ˶ is a modifier letter (middle double acute accent) that people use as a cheek. ◡ and ◠ are the lower and upper half circle shapes.
Other parts come from further afield. ᐢ and ᗜ are Canadian syllabics, ૮ is a Gujarati digit eight, ଘ is an Oriya letter, ა is a Georgian letter and ໒ is a Lao digit two. Because they are letters and digits and not symbols, a font that lacks one of them shows a box for just that part, and a screen reader may announce it by its real name. The accessibility notes in the Unicode accessibility guide apply here.
Emoji parts and text parts
28 of the 83 characters here are emoji, such as 🐾, 🍓 and 🎀. Each platform draws them in its own colored style. The rest are text characters that take the color of the surrounding text. The newest is 🫧 Bubbles from Unicode 14.0 (2021), so older devices may show a box instead. 🧁 and 🧸 came in Unicode 11.0 in 2018. For the safest choice on older devices, ♡ and ✧ have been in Unicode since 1993.
Pasting cute faces and frames
The Cute faces to paste group has finished faces made from these parts. Click one and paste it next to a name or at the end of a bio line. Keep to one or two faces per bio, since several different ones can crowd a short field. To mix faces, styled letters and line breaks in one go, use the Bio Builder.
Every symbol with its Unicode details
The table lists the 83 single characters from the first six groups. Kind is the character's general category in Unicode, and it shows where a borrowed character really comes from. Emoji means Unicode marks the character as an emoji by default, which apps draw in their own colored style.

Source: the Unicode Character Database (character names, DerivedAge.txt and emoji-data.txt), checked in November 2026. The default look column follows Unicode's emoji properties. Apps and fonts can still draw a symbol differently, so treat it as a guide and not a promise. UTF-16 units is how many 16-bit units the symbol takes, which some apps use when they count length. Added in Unicode, by symbol count: 40 in Unicode 1.1 (1993), 9 in Unicode 3.0 (1999), 5 in Unicode 4.0 (2003), 1 in Unicode 5.1 (2008), 25 in Unicode 6.0 (2010), 2 in Unicode 11.0 (2018) and 1 in Unicode 14.0 (2021). Kinds: 28 emoji, 19 letters, 18 symbols, 5 modifier symbols, 5 math symbols, 4 punctuation marks and 4 digits.
Where cute symbols work
Symbols paste as ordinary text, so they work in bios, captions, comments, display names and chat messages. Handle or username fields are often stricter and may accept only letters, numbers and a few punctuation marks, so a symbol can be rejected or removed there even when it works in the display name on the same platform. Paste it into the field and check the preview before you save.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are cute symbols?
Cute symbols are small Unicode characters used to make text look soft and playful, such as ♡, ✧, ᵔᴗᵔ and 🐾. Cute is a style and not a Unicode category, so many of them are letters, digits or math symbols borrowed for their shape.
How do I copy and paste cute symbols?
Click or tap any card on this page and the symbol is copied to your clipboard as a Unicode character. Paste it with Ctrl+V on a computer, or long-press and choose Paste on a phone. No app, download or special keyboard is needed.
Why does part of a cute face show as a box?
Cute faces mix characters from several scripts, such as Latin modifier letters, Canadian syllabics, Gujarati and Lao. If the font in an app has no drawing for one of them, that part shows as a box while the rest draws normally. Try the face in another app or device to check.
Are cute symbols the same as kaomoji?
Not exactly. Cute symbols are the single pieces, such as ᵔ, ᴗ and ˶. A kaomoji is a whole face built from several of those pieces, such as (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶). The kaomoji page has finished faces grouped by mood.
Which cute symbols are emoji?
28 of the 83 characters on this page are emoji by default, including 🐾, 🍓, 🎀 and 🌸. Apps draw emoji in their own colored style. The text symbols, such as ♡ and ✧, take the color of the surrounding text.
Do cute symbols work in Instagram or TikTok bios?
They paste as ordinary text, so they work wherever text is accepted, including bios and captions. Username or handle fields are usually stricter and may reject them, so paste the symbol into the field and check the preview before you save.
What are cute text symbols?
Cute text symbols are small characters from fonts, such as ♡, ✧, ⋆ and ᵔ, as opposed to emoji pictures. They take the color of the surrounding text. The Kind column in the table shows which characters are plain text characters and which are emoji.
What are cute emoji combos?
Cute emoji combos are short strings of emoji and symbols, such as (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶) or ʚ ♡ ɞ, pasted together as one unit. The Cute faces to paste group on this page has 12 ready-made combos.
How do I make cute text, not just symbols?
Symbols are decoration around your text. To change the letters themselves into soft or bubble styles, use the cute fonts generator, then add symbols from this page around the result.
