Aesthetic Symbols Copy and Paste
77 aesthetic symbols to copy and paste, grouped by look: sparkles, hearts and wings, moons and sky, flowers, dark and grunge, and brackets. Each one lists its official Unicode name and what kind of character it really is.
Definition: Aesthetic symbols are small Unicode characters people use as decoration, such as ✧, ♡, ☾ and ୨୧, to give a bio, caption or name a mood. "Aesthetic" is a style and not a Unicode category, so many of these characters were designed for something else and are borrowed for their shape.

What makes a symbol aesthetic
Unicode has no "aesthetic" category. The look comes from how people use the characters: small sparkles and dots to frame a name, moons and flowers for a soft mood, daggers and chains for a darker one. The groups above sort the symbols by that look, so you can pick a mood and copy from one place.
Aesthetic symbols are not the same as aesthetic fonts. A font generator changes your letters into other Unicode letters. Symbols are extra decoration around the text. For styled letters in the same mood, use the aesthetic fonts generator and add symbols from this page.
Many aesthetic symbols are borrowed characters
Several favorites were never meant as decoration. ʚ and ɞ are Latin small letters (closed open e and closed reversed open e). ୨ and ୧ are Oriya digits two and one. ღ is a Georgian letter, ꕤ is a Vai syllable and ᯓ is a Batak letter. ꒰ and ꒱ are Yi radicals. ⊱ and ⊰ are math relations, and ⋆, ⁺, ₊ and ⊹ are math or modifier characters that people use as sparkles.
This matters in two ways. First, fonts differ in which scripts they cover, so a borrowed character can show as a box where a common symbol would not. ꕤ was added in Unicode 5.1 (2008) and ᯓ in Unicode 6.0 (2010), so older devices are more likely to lack them. Second, assistive technology may treat a borrowed character as the letter or digit it is, so a screen reader can announce it differently from a decorative symbol. See the Unicode accessibility guide for how to keep a bio readable.
Picking symbols by mood
These pairings are suggestions and not rules. For a soft, dreamy look, try ☁, ☾, ❀ and ✿ with ♡. For a sparkly, cute look, try ✧, ⋆, ˚ and ୨୧. For a darker look, try ☠, † and ⛧ with ☾. The soft girl fonts, cottagecore fonts, dark academia fonts and e-girl fonts pages have matching styled letters.
Building a frame for a bio or name
The Frames and dividers group has ready-made pieces. Paste one before and one after a name, or use a divider to split a bio into lines. A few repeated symbols usually look more deliberate than many different ones. If you want to combine styled letters, symbols and line breaks in one go, the Bio Builder does it in one place.
Every symbol with its Unicode details
The table lists the 77 single characters from the first six groups. Kind is the character's general category in Unicode. Symbol means a character Unicode files as a symbol, and the other kinds show where a character was borrowed from.

Source: the Unicode Character Database (character names, DerivedAge.txt and emoji-data.txt), checked in November 2026. The default look column follows Unicode's emoji properties. Apps and fonts can still draw a symbol differently, so treat it as a guide and not a promise. UTF-16 units is how many 16-bit units the symbol takes, which some apps use when they count length. Added in Unicode, by symbol count: 54 in Unicode 1.1 (1993), 2 in Unicode 2.0 (1996), 2 in Unicode 3.0 (1999), 1 in Unicode 4.0 (2003), 4 in Unicode 4.1 (2005), 3 in Unicode 5.1 (2008), 1 in Unicode 5.2 (2009), 7 in Unicode 6.0 (2010), 1 in Unicode 6.1 (2012) and 2 in Unicode 9.0 (2016). Kinds: 39 symbols, 14 punctuation marks, 7 math symbols, 7 emoji, 6 letters, 2 modifier symbols and 2 digits.
Where aesthetic symbols work
Symbols paste as ordinary text, so they work in bios, captions, comments, display names and chat messages. Handle or username fields are often stricter and may accept only letters, numbers and a few punctuation marks, so a symbol can be rejected or removed there even when it works in the display name on the same platform. Paste it into the field and check the preview before you save.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are aesthetic symbols?
Aesthetic symbols are small Unicode characters used as decoration, such as ✧, ♡, ☾ and ୨୧. Aesthetic is a style and not a Unicode category, so many of them are letters, digits or math symbols borrowed for their shape.
How do I copy and paste aesthetic symbols?
Click or tap any card on this page and the symbol is copied to your clipboard as a Unicode character. Paste it with Ctrl+V on a computer, or long-press and choose Paste on a phone. No app, download or special keyboard is needed.
Why do ୨୧ and ʚɞ look like symbols if they are not?
୨ and ୧ are Oriya digits two and one, and ʚ and ɞ are Latin small letters. People borrow them for their shape, and they work as decoration, but Unicode still classes them as digits and letters. That can affect how a screen reader announces them.
Why does an aesthetic symbol show as a box?
The character copied correctly, but the font on that device has no drawing for it. Borrowed characters from less common scripts, such as ꕤ (Vai, Unicode 5.1, 2008) and ᯓ (Batak, Unicode 6.0, 2010), are more likely to be missing than common symbols such as ♡ or ☾. Try another app or device to check.
Do aesthetic symbols work in Instagram or TikTok bios?
They paste as ordinary text, so they work wherever text is accepted, including bios and captions. Username or handle fields are usually stricter and may reject them, so paste the symbol into the field and check the preview before you save.
Are aesthetic symbols the same as aesthetic fonts?
No. An aesthetic font generator turns your letters into other Unicode letters, such as bold script or bubble text. Aesthetic symbols are separate decorative characters you add around the text. You can use both together.
Are aesthetic symbols the same as aesthetic emojis?
Not quite. Aesthetic emojis are picture emoji such as 🌙, 🦋 and 🌸, which each platform draws in its own style. Most aesthetic symbols are text characters that follow the color of your text. This page has 7 emoji among its 77 characters, and the Kind column shows which is which.
Will a screen reader read aesthetic symbols?
It depends on the screen reader. Some announce characters by their Unicode name, so a borrowed character such as ୨ can be read as a digit. Keep the important information in plain letters and use symbols only as decoration, as the Unicode accessibility guide suggests.
