What is CopyFont?
CopyFont is a free tool that converts normal text into special Unicode characters that look like different font styles. Type once, get 40+ styles, bold, cursive, glitch, bubble, and more, ready to copy and paste anywhere.
Why it was built
Everyone deserves access to creative text tools without paying for apps or signing up for services. CopyFont was built as a fast, clean, completely free utility that respects your time and privacy.
How it works
The Unicode standard contains over 140,000 characters, including mathematical symbols, letterlike characters, and styled letters that look like different fonts. CopyFont maps your regular letters to these Unicode equivalents.
Built with simplicity
CopyFont runs entirely in your browser using pure HTML and JavaScript. There is no server processing your text. Everything happens locally and instantly, that is why it is fast and works offline too.
Privacy commitment
We never store, log, or transmit the text you type. Your text stays in your browser and is gone when you close the tab. No accounts, no profiles, no data collection by CopyFont.
Works everywhere
Because these are Unicode characters, not custom fonts, they paste correctly on Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Twitter, Facebook, and virtually any platform that supports Unicode text input, which is essentially all of them.
Nipul Patil, Motion Designer
CopyFont is built and maintained by Nipul Patil, a motion designer who spends most workdays inside After Effects and Premiere making animation and social content for clients, and got tired of switching tabs to hunt down a working fancy-text tool for captions and bios. CopyFont started as a personal utility and turned into a public site once it was clear other people needed the same thing. No agency, no team, just one person keeping it fast, free, and free of the login walls and clutter most font generator sites bury you in. Questions or bug reports go straight to hello@copyfont.com and get read by the person who built it.
Facts, not filler
Platform-specific details on CopyFont, like Instagram's bio character limit, Discord's username rules, or a game's in-app name length, are checked directly against the platform's own current documentation before publishing, not copied from other font-generator sites. When a platform changes a limit or a rule, the relevant page gets updated rather than left stale. If you spot something that's out of date, email hello@copyfont.com and it'll get fixed.
