Telegram gives you two places to show off styled text: your bio (70 characters standard, 140 for Premium) and your first name (up to 64 characters), both of which accept full Unicode. Bold, italic, monospace and small caps styles above are standard Unicode code points, the same system Telegram already uses for its own built-in bold and italic formatting inside messages.
Your @username is a different field, and it does not accept fancy text. Telegram restricts usernames (5 to 32 characters) to plain Latin letters, numbers, and underscores, since usernames double as a way for people to find and message you by a searchable handle. Save the styled fonts for your first name and bio, where most people actually see your profile.
