Bold Text Generator
Copy & Paste Bold Fonts
Generate Unicode bold text for Instagram, Facebook, Discord and more. Four distinct bold styles — instant copy, no signup required.
Platform tip: These bold styles use Unicode characters, not CSS. They paste correctly into Instagram bios, Facebook posts, Discord display names, and any platform that accepts text — no fonts required on either end.
CopyFont's bold text generator is a free online tool that converts regular text into Unicode bold characters for designers, creators, and social media users on Instagram, Facebook, Discord, Twitter, and any platform that accepts plain text input.
What Is Unicode Bold Text?
When you click "Bold" in a word processor, the software applies a CSS font-weight property that changes how the font renders on screen. That setting only travels within apps that understand font styling. Unicode bold is fundamentally different: it uses actual bold-looking characters from the Unicode Mathematical Bold block. The character 𝗔 is not a styled A — it is Unicode code point U+1D5D4, "Mathematical Sans-Serif Bold Capital A." Because it is a real character, not a style command, it travels with your text wherever you paste it.
This is why bold text generated by CopyFont works everywhere: Instagram bios, Facebook posts, Discord display names, Twitter profiles, WhatsApp messages, and Notion pages. No font file needs to be installed on the recipient's device to see the bold styling.
Bold Style Comparison

| Sans-Serif Bold | 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗱 | Instagram, TikTok, Discord names | U+1D5D4–U+1D607 |

How to Use Bold Text on Each Platform
On Instagram, paste bold Unicode text directly into the bio field or caption box — Instagram has no native bold, so Unicode bold is the only method that works. On Facebook, Unicode bold works in posts, comments, and the About section; Facebook also supports markdown-style bold using double asterisks in some fields, but Unicode bold works everywhere. On Discord, markdown bold (double asterisks) works in messages, but Unicode bold is the only way to apply bold styling to your display name or About Me section — no Nitro subscription required. On Twitter / X, there is no native text formatting at all, making Unicode bold the only reliable option for standout bios and tweets.
